Representatives from CACCI Primary Members constituting the CACCI Council, which is the governing body of CACCI, met to discuss internal policy issues that may have an important impact on the future growth and development of the Confederation.
Among the major items discussed by the CACCI Council were CACCI’s activities since the last Council meeting held in November 2016 in Taipei, the proposed CACCI budget for 2018, membership recruitment efforts, membership fee payments, how to augment the resources of the CACCI Foundation Fund, and summary reports of the roundtable discussions held earlier.
Three Primary Members also formally presented their bids for hosting the 32nd CACCI Conference to be held in 2018. These included the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, and the Union of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). It was agreed that the Advisory Board would deliberate on the merits of the bids, and would make the announcement on the winning bid very soon.
